Previous Theater Experience

I don’t have a ton of theater experience, but I did play a lead role in my ninth grade play at my old school. I also participated in our eighth grade play but I had a fairly minor role. In ninth grade our play was The Miser, by Molière. I ended up with the role of Valere, who has the opening scene and is the second largest role. I also had theater class on and off every other year since kindergarten in which we played theater games and had to do some small acting. I think that my strengths in theater are my acting skills. I think I’m at least a little charismatic. My weaknesses are that I don’t love memorizing lines and also I do have some stage fright. This year I have some specific growth goals that I would like to reach. First off I just want to broaden my knowledge of theater in general, and learn some more of the basic ins and outs of acting, but I also want to get better at working as a group with others and really learning to work with other people to create a scene. Those are my main goals but I also want to learn how to do lighting and some other tech stuff if possible. I think that about sums up my theater experience up to this point.
