Reflection on Past Couple Weeks

Despite being out with covid for the part of the directing our own scene based on a Things I know to be True character and not being able to have my own scene, I think that I got a lot out of watching, and participating in my classmate's scenes. I though that each peace was very unique and different from the other ones, and I think as a class we are getting better at composing movements and scenes as a whole that are a little more abstract rather than just basing it off the spoken portion. I feel like we have progressed a lot since needing dances or simplistic motions in every seen we make. I really liked Osajie's piece because every part felt varied and the movements had connection to the lyrics but again were more loosely tied to them. The final scene in which we combined all of it was, in my opinion, one of our best creations yet. From the lyrics we chose from each song, to the way we depicted each character, I think it was some of our best work, and showed our collective growth. I thought that the way we built tension by having one person be the center of attention as everyone else did the same thing was a smart tactic.
